If you want to unlock the deadbolt using the app, you can do so via a Bluetooth connection. If you lose your phone or it runs out of battery, you can enter a PIN code on the front of the lock. If all else fails, the lock can be unlocked using a physical key.

However, if you have a PIN securing your door, you might be worried about people outside typing in random codes to see what works. Fortunately, measures are in place to prevent brute force entry.

For one, it only allows five incorrect PIN entries at a time. Once this happens, the keypad will not allow any more entries for five minutes.

Additionally, you can tell the deadbolt to only allow PIN and Bluetooth input at specific times. You can set it to let people in when they get home from work, but turn off the pad overnight when everyone is sleeping.

If someone tries to tamper directly with the device, a tamper alarm will sound to alert others of the tampering.

Synchronization with Airbnb

Remember how igloohome is an Airbnb partner? Through this partnership, you can sync the deadbolt with your Airbnb plans.

When you rent your home to an Airbnb traveler, the lock automatically logs it into your schedule and gives the traveler a unique PIN to enter your home. Once one guest leaves and another arrives, the lock gives the new guest a completely new code, so the old guest cannot regain access.

Works offline

Even better, the deadbolt can continue to operate even if the network fails. Don't worry about being kicked out of your home because your ISP went down; just use the lock as normal while you wait for service to resume.
