Windows 11 delivers practical innovations like Snap Layouts, an enhanced evolution of Windows 10's snap assist. This feature enables you to precisely arrange multiple apps across your desktop, streamlining simultaneous use and viewing—eliminating the need for constant Alt-Tab switches we've all endured.
Getting started is simple:

Note: Apps might overlap during rearrangement. If needed, Alt + Tab or the taskbar will help locate them.

Snap Layouts integrate seamlessly with the taskbar. Hover over an app icon to preview both the app and its layout group—click either for quick access.

To maximize an app within the layout, click its expand icon. Click again to restore the previous setup.
Tailor Snap Layouts via Settings > System > Multitasking. Toggle options like showing layouts on maximize hover or taskbar previews, enable auto-resizing of adjacent windows, or disable entirely for your workflow.

Snap Layouts may feel unfamiliar at first, but practice reveals their power—for instance, monitoring Slack or email alongside document work or video playback. On smaller screens, limit to 2-3 apps to avoid clutter. Experiment to optimize your setup and elevate productivity.
