As iOS enthusiasts know, the default system fonts appear everywhere—from icons and settings to messages and emails. While stock iOS offers no built-in way to change them, jailbreaking unlocks a world of customization tweaks.
Jailbreaking provides access to powerful modifications, letting you personalize nearly every aspect of your iPhone's interface (short of hardware changes). Though it carries minimal risks if done correctly, the rewards include unprecedented control.
One of the simplest ways to swap system fonts is with BytaFont 2, a reliable Cydia tweak we've used extensively on multiple devices.
BytaFont 2 is free on Cydia for jailbroken devices running iOS 7.x - 8.x. Search for it directly, or add the ModMyi repository (https://modmyi.com/repo/), refresh sources, and install. Respring your device after installation.

Open BytaFont 2 and create a system font backup first—this ensures you can easily revert changes. Then, switch to the Browse tab, where you'll find a curated selection of fonts with live previews, organized by category.

On the font's download page, select the BytaFont 2 option to install via Cydia. Respring if prompted.

Return to BytaFont 2, go to Apply Mode, tap Basic, and select your new font. The tweak will apply it system-wide and respring your device.

Your iPhone now uses the custom font by default. In Advanced Settings, exclude apps like Camera, iBooks, or Keyboards if needed. To restore defaults, use Restore BytaFont Backup in Apply Mode.
With BytaFont 2, changing fonts on your jailbroken iOS device is straightforward and free. Explore the library to make your iPhone truly unique. If you run into issues, drop a comment—we're here to help based on years of hands-on experience.
