What is a strainer valve?

Strainer valves are essential pipe fittings that filter liquids or gases, separating them from solid particles. Acting as sieves, they block debris like pipe dope, weld metal, scale, and rust, protecting pipelines, equipment, and processes from damage. This reduces downtime and maintenance costs.

Different types of strainer valves

Y-Type Strainer
