17% of Dutch Struggle to Disconnect from Technology: Insights from GfK Global Survey

17% of the Dutch population finds it challenging to step away from technology such as smartphones, computers, and TVs. Meanwhile, 30% report no difficulty. Higher rates appear in China (43%), Brazil (42%), and Argentina (40%). People in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium have the easiest time unplugging. These findings come from a GfK online survey across 17 countries, where respondents evaluated the statement: 'I find it difficult to take a break from technology (my mobile device, computer, the TV, etc.), even when I know it is better for me.'

There's minimal difference between men and women. Younger age groups face the most trouble: 26% of 15-19-year-olds struggle to disconnect. Those over 40 encounter less difficulty, with more than 40% of 50-59-year-olds indicating it's not challenging at all.
