TikTok videos keep us hooked, but with clips now stretching up to three minutes, skipping ahead or replaying key moments is a game-changer. After years of daily TikTok use, I've confirmed the app's new seek feature works smoothly on many devices. (Note: Rollout varies; it may not be available to everyone yet.)

Play a longer video and look for the faint white progress line at the bottom. It's most common on extended clips.

• A thicker white line advances as the video plays.
• Tap it to highlight the line with a draggable dot showing your position.
• Drag the dot left or right to rewind or fast forward precisely.
