Nintendo Switch OLED Model: Where to Pre-Order Before October 8 Launch

After months of rumors, Nintendo has officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch OLED model—a refined upgrade to its bestselling hybrid console, rather than the rumored powerhouse 'Switch Pro.'

Launching October 8 for $350, this iteration boasts a vibrant 7-inch 720p OLED screen, an upgraded dock with wired Ethernet, a full-length kickstand inspired by premium tablets, 64GB storage, up to nine hours of battery life, and enhanced audio for handheld play. Docked, it maxes at 1080p—no 4K yet, and Bluetooth or processor boosts remain on hold.

Our team, including tech enthusiast Alex Cranz, is excited: it plays all existing games, works with original Joy-Cons, and sports a sleek black-and-white finish echoing PS5 and Xbox Series S aesthetics. Red-and-blue Joy-Cons are also available.

Where to Pre-Order the Nintendo Switch OLED Model

Pre-orders kicked off Thursday, with select retailers reopening slots amid potential shortages. Secure the red-and-blue version now for $350 at GameStop to ensure launch-day delivery on October 8. The white model isn't available yet.
