Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Buds 2 at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event. These true wireless earbuds refine the proven formula of the Galaxy Buds+, delivering incremental improvements without a full redesign.
The design remains familiar but sleeker: each earbud is lighter with a more rounded exterior. Choose from four colors—dark gray, green, purple, or white. Key features include a tri-point microphone, active noise cancellation (ANC), three silicone tip sizes, and a wireless charging case with a color-matched interior, similar to Google's Pixel Buds A-Series.
Battery life falls short of the Buds+: 5 hours with ANC on (20 hours with the case) or 7.5 hours without, compared to the Buds+' 11-hour max.
In our hands-on review, the Buds 2 offer solid ANC and ambient sound mode, though the latter feels slightly processed. Sound quality is competent but doesn't match the Buds+. Water resistance is IPX2, below the Buds Pro's IPX7. As Samsung's most affordable option, they start at just $149.99.
Pre-orders are live now at $149.99—the Buds+' launch price and $50 less than the Buds Pro. Add a Galaxy SmartTag for $5 more. They ship August 27 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Z Flip 3 5G.

Samsung's smallest and lightest true wireless earbuds feature two-way drivers, ANC, and ambient sound mode. Available in green, white, purple, and dark gray. Pre-order now for August 27 delivery.
