Samsung had a busy day today with its Galaxy Unpacked event. The company went heavy on foldable smartphones with the Announcement of the Galaxy Z Double 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 . However, the company has also announced a solid-looking smartwatch and a new pair of Galaxy Buds.

What's new with the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic?

Samsung announced that the Galaxy Watch 4 would come with a lot of goodies, thanks in part to its partnership with Google on the operating system. Samsung is calling its version of Wear OS "One Ui Watch," and it seems to tick all the boxes.

One particularly cool feature that Samsung announced is that SmartWatch compatible apps are automatically installed on your watch when the phone counterpart is installed on your smartphone. The company also says that settings like do not disturb and block callers are automatically synced between the watch and your phone.

The watch comes with multiple ways to control it:you can use BIXBY, the touch screen, and various gestures.

The mix of Samsung and Google means that viewing shoppers will have access to Google services like Google Maps and Galaxy Services like Samsung Pay, Smartthings and BIXBY. Samsung shows off new Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2

Samsung is launching both the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The base model is slightly cheaper, starting at $249.99. It has a modern and minimalist design. The Classic starts at $349.99 and comes with a more timeless design with the rotating bezel that many Samsung fans love.

Both models are available for preorder today and scheduled to ship on August 27.

As for the specifications, both watches feature the new EXYNOS W920 5NM chip. They come with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The operating system mentioned above is using OS powered by Samsung with a clock UI 3 over the top. There is a wide range of sensors, including optical heart rate, electrical heart, and bioelectrical impedance analysis.

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The Classic comes in 42mm and 46mm options.

The Buds Galaxy 2 are very competitive in terms of price, coming in at $149.99. That's pretty good for what these bring to the table in terms of features. They're the company's smallest and clearest earbuds yet, which is great if you're not a fan of chunky earbuds.

Samsung added a new feature called Earbud Fit Test to its Galaxy Wearable app. It will help ensure that you are getting the optimal setting for your shoots.

They come with active noise cancellation, which is quite a rare find at this price point. There are also two-way speakers that promise solid highs and lows, though we'll have to hear them for ourselves to find out how they sound.

With noise cancellation turned on, Samsung says to expect around five hours of battery life. If ANC is off, you can add a bit more, with an estimated lifespan of 7.5 hours.

These are also available for preorder now, and are scheduled to ship on August 27.
