As a tech expert who's helped countless users go paperless, I know how frustrating it can be to sign PDFs without a computer. Unlike iOS's built-in markup tool, Android requires a reliable third-party app. The gold standard is the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, trusted by professionals worldwide for secure document handling.
Follow these proven steps to sign contracts or any PDF directly from your Android device:
- Download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Google Play Store.
- Sign in or create an account, navigating any initial tutorials or prompts.
- Tap the Files icon at the bottom to access documents from your device (grant file access if prompted), Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Adobe Document Cloud, or even Gmail attachments.

- Select your preferred source, like Google Drive (authorize access with your Google account), then tap your PDF to open it.
- Tap the Edit icon in the lower right corner.

- Choose Fill & Sign.
- Tap the signature icon (pen tip) in the lower right and select Create Signature (or Create Initials).

- In the landscape "Sign Here" box, draw your signature, upload an image, or use your camera to capture one from paper. Tap Done when finished.

- Back in the PDF, tap where you want the signature. Resize by dragging edges, delete with the trash icon if needed, then tap the checkmark in the upper left.
- You're all set! Your saved signature will appear next time in Fill & Sign for quick reuse—edit or delete via the minus icon.
