Google Enters Foldable Smartphone Market with Year-End Launch

Samsung leads the foldable smartphone market, strengthened by launches like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. That dominance may soon face competition as tech giant Google prepares to enter the foldable space.

Times of India reports that multiple companies are developing foldable devices, with Google planning a release in the coming months.

A Display Supply Chain Consultants Senior Director cites leaks indicating Google's foldable smartphone will launch by year-end, potentially unveiled on October 19. Industry sources confirm its arrival soon.

Expected specs for Google's foldable include a triple rear camera: 50-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and 48-megapixel telephoto lens. It may feature 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.

Google partnered with Samsung for the display, per media reports. No official details yet, but Google has acknowledged testing foldable prototypes.
