IFTTT connects your apps and services effortlessly. For deeper insights, see our comprehensive guide on automating WordPress and social media with IFTTT.
First, sign up at the IFTTT website by clicking 'Sign up.'

Follow the onboarding to reach your dashboard, which looks like this:

IFTTT calls automations 'Applets' (formerly recipes). Go to 'Create' in the top menu to build your first one.

Each Applet has a trigger ('If This') and action ('Then That'). Start with 'This.'
Search for WordPress and select it.

Connect your site: Enter your WordPress URL, username, and password in the popup.

Upon success, select 'Any new post' as the trigger.

Create the trigger, then configure 'That' for LinkedIn.

Select LinkedIn, connect your account via login, and authorize.

Choose 'Share an update on your profile.' The title and URL auto-populate.

Review and create the Applet. It's now live, auto-sharing new posts with featured images as thumbnails.

Manage via your Applets page anytime.
For native integration, install the LinkedIn Auto Publish plugin. See our step-by-step plugin installation guide.
Access settings via the new 'LinkedIn Auto Publish' menu.

Create a LinkedIn app at developers.linkedin.com: Provide company details, logo (square image), URL, email, and phone. Submit.

Grab Client ID and Secret from the dashboard.

Add the plugin's redirect URL under 'OAuth 2.0 Authorized Redirect URLs' and update.

Enter keys in plugin settings and save. Authorize via LinkedIn login.

Success! Posts auto-share. Use the post editor metabox for per-post controls.
