With advanced features like Scene Optimizer and HDR10+ recording, the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ deliver impressive camera performance. These tools empower photographers to capture stunning images, but unlocking their full potential requires exploring hidden settings.

After extensively testing the S10 series cameras, our team has curated these 9 essential tips to elevate your photography. From AI enhancements to customization options, here's how to get pro-level results.
The Galaxy S10+ Scene Optimizer is smarter than its predecessor on the Note 9, accurately distinguishing between buildings, pets, and more for tailored image enhancements.
To activate, tap the settings cog and select Scene Optimizer.

A blue icon appears in the viewfinder when active—tap to toggle off. It also supports document scanning and Starburst effects for low-light artistry.

Pro tip: Night mode auto-activates in low light once enabled.
Leveraging AI, Shot Suggestions detect scenes and guide you with on-screen prompts for level horizons or better composition.

Align the guides and shoot—the app analyzes and refines. Enable via Settings > Shot Suggestions.

Building on the Note 8, Live Focus now offers Edge Blur, Spiral, and Color Point for creative portraits, with adjustable blur intensity.

Edit post-capture in Gallery: Tap 'Change background effect,' select a mode, and save.

Selfie mode mirrors these, using the main lens for wider frames. Pro tip: Shoot against vibrant backgrounds for standout subjects.
Food Mode enhances details and saturation, ideal for cuisine or colorful subjects.

Select full sharpness or highlight areas via top tools. Use Palette to fine-tune color and temperature.

Bonus: Sports Mode excels for motion or scenic shots from moving vehicles when held steady.
The ultra-wide lens minimizes fisheye effects, but enable correction in Settings > Recording Options for perfectly proportioned edges.

Also toggle HEIF for space savings and RAW for Pro mode flexibility.

Choose 0.4s or 0.8s clips with auto-detect. Edit in Gallery: Adjust speed, add music themes, reverse, or loop segments via the Details tab.

First with HDR10+ support, it dynamically enhances video color and contrast. Enable in Settings > Advanced recording options > HDR10+ (Labs feature).

OIS on main and telephoto lenses provides a base, but enable digital stabilization for smoother footage. Super Steady (hand icon) records ultra-stable 1080p clips.

Note: Ultra-wide lacks OIS.
Drag to reorder modes in Settings > Camera modes, hide unused ones, or set to reopen last mode.
