As a Google Workspace specialist with years of experience integrating design tools, I often help users transfer Canva presentations to Google Slides for advanced editing. While there's no direct import button, two reliable methods—downloading as PPTX or linking Google Drive—make it straightforward.
Canva excels at creating stunning visuals for Instagram posts, Facebook covers, YouTube thumbnails, and custom layouts, even on a free account. Once designed, exporting to Google Slides, another powerful free tool, is simple via PowerPoint-compatible formats.
Follow these proven steps:
Start by finalizing your design in Canva, then download via the three-dot menu's PowerPoint option. Upload to Google Drive, open the file, and convert using the File menu. Your presentation saves as an editable Google Slides file in the same Drive location.

For direct Drive import, use the method below.
Here's how:
Open your design, select Google Drive from the three-dot menu, connect your account, pick a folder, and save as PPTX. In Drive, double-click the file, then use File > Save as Google Slides to edit.

Use either method above: download PPTX or save to Drive. Open in Drive and select File > Save as Google Slides. This converts it fully for editing—skipping this step leaves it view-only.
