How to Seamlessly Connect Your Video Doorbell to Echo Show, Google Nest Hub, and More

Video doorbells provide instant alerts about front-door activity straight to your smartphone, no matter where you are. But when you're home, it's far more convenient to check your Echo Show or Google Nest Hub without grabbing your phone or leaving the couch.

Many leading brands, including third-party options from Eufy, Arlo, Ring, Blink, Wyze, and Nest, integrate with Alexa and Google smart displays, Fire TV, and Chromecast-enabled TVs. A simple voice command displays a live feed on a larger screen, letting you see, hear, and even speak to visitors or monitor packages.

Setting up your smart doorbell with a display is straightforward—here's our expert-tested guide.

Stream Your Video Doorbell to Google Nest Hub or Chromecast TV

Google Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max announce doorbell presses and show live feeds from compatible cameras like Eufy, Arlo, Wyze, and Nest (Ring and Blink are not compatible). View on Chromecast TVs too.

  • Open the Google Home app, tap +, select "Set up device," then "Works with Google" (or "New device" for Nest).
  • Choose your camera brand and link your account (skip if already linked—tap "Check for new devices").
  • Complete setup: name your doorbell (e.g., "Doorbell") and assign to a room (e.g., "Front Door") for commands like "Hey Google, show the front door."
  • Tap the doorbell icon to toggle voice notifications on Nest speakers.
  • Use voice: "Hey Google, show [doorbell] on [display/TV]." Or just "Hey Google, show the doorbell" on the device.
  • With Nest doorbells, talk back via the display.
  • Stop with "Hey Google, stop."
  • Manual view: Swipe down on Nest screen, tap Cameras, select doorbell.
