If your Xbox account isn't properly linked to Discord, you might run into connectivity issues. This integration lets you easily see which friends are gaming on console or PC, streamlining your multiplayer experience. As seasoned gaming experts, we've tested these steps on Xbox Series X/S and Discord across devices to ensure they work flawlessly.
Connecting Xbox to Discord unites PC and console players, allowing your friends on the chat app to see exactly what you're playing right now.
Once linked, your current game status appears for all to see. This feature empowers gamers with more flexibility to play anywhere, anytime—but first, ensure you have a Discord account.
Create a Discord account by choosing a username, password, and verifying your email—this works on mobile/desktop apps or the website. If you already have one, simply log in.
Next, on your Xbox console home screen, select your gamertag and navigate to the Home & Systems menu.
Select Settings, then your account.
You'll reach the account screen. Click Account Link to proceed.

This generates a 6-digit PIN with on-screen instructions to finalize the link via your computer or mobile Discord app.
To unlink, go to the Accounts section on Xbox, select Linked Social Accounts, find Discord, and choose the unlink button.
Discord is the go-to platform for global gaming communities to chat and connect. Linking Xbox lets your Discord friends view your game activity and join sessions directly from their Xbox.
