How to Enable Cross-Save in Destiny 2: Carry Your Progress Across Platforms

If you play Destiny 2 across multiple platforms like PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam, cross-save ensures your Guardian's progress, loot, and achievements transfer seamlessly. Whether switching from console to PC or vice versa, this feature lets you jump platforms effortlessly. Follow our expert guide below.

Before enabling cross-save, review these essential disclaimers based on Bungie's official policies:

  • While the free Destiny 2: New Light edition eliminates the need for multiple base game copies, you'll need separate purchases for expansions. Restricted content includes exotic weapons and armor, location-specific loot pools, raids, and dungeons.
  • Free content can be confusing, but playing without expansions still grants access to core stories, seasonal events, PvP, and global loot pools.
  • All previously purchased Silver (Destiny 2's premium currency) stays locked to its original platform and cannot transfer. Spend it before linking accounts.
  • Enabling cross-save overwrites Guardians on linked platforms. Bungie allows disabling it to recover old characters, but you'll face a 90-day cooldown before re-enabling.

How to Enable Cross-Save

  • Visit the Bungie Cross-Save page and log in with your primary platform—the one holding your main Guardians (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Stadia).
  • Next, link additional platforms by logging into those accounts. For example, start with PSN, then add Xbox Live.
