iOS 10 delivered transformative updates for iPhone and iPad, from enhanced Messages and a refreshed Apple Music to smarter 3D Touch. Yet, Apple's signature attention to detail truly shines in these under-the-radar enhancements that elevate everyday use.
Contents:
1. Collaborate on Notes
2. Enable/disable read receipts for individuals
3. Edit Live Photos
4. Quickly unsubscribe from emails
5. Widgets on the lock screen

Don't let the marquee updates overshadow these practical additions. As someone who's explored iOS updates for years, I've found these features streamline workflows and add real convenience.

The Notes app now enables seamless team collaboration. Tap the Add People icon at the top of any note to share it instantly.

Shared collaborators see the note on their devices, allowing everyone to edit in real-time. Changes sync via iCloud, keeping everything up-to-date across devices.

Finally, granular control over iMessage read receipts—toggle them per contact. No more all-or-nothing settings.

Open a conversation in Messages, tap the Info button (top right), and find the new toggle just below Hide Alerts. Adjust anytime for that contact.

iOS 10 lets you edit Live Photos without losing the motion effect—a big upgrade from iOS 9's limitations. Simply tap Edit in the bottom menu bar, make your changes, and save. The Live component stays intact.

The Mail app now detects newsletters and offers one-tap unsubscribe right at the top of the message. Tap Unsubscribe, and iOS handles the request.
Note: It catches most but not all subscriptions, and compliance depends on the sender.
Tip: For advanced email management, explore automatic mailing list unsubscribe tools.

Widgets have evolved rapidly in iOS 10. Customize them below the search bar on your home screen, and access them directly from the lock screen by swiping right—the time shifts left, revealing your personalized lineup.
