As seasoned iOS support specialists with years of troubleshooting Apple devices, we've encountered this persistent Wi-Fi quirk that affects some iPhone and iPad users. It's a minor bug—undocumented by Apple but reliably fixable—that causes the Forget This Network button to vanish randomly from Wi-Fi settings. No major harm, just an inconvenience when you need to disconnect permanently without toggling Wi-Fi off entirely.

This option proves handy for avoiding auto-reconnects or troubleshooting spotty networks. If yours disappeared unexpectedly, rest assured: our tested workaround restores it every time.
Apple hasn't patched this sporadic glitch yet, but this straightforward method works consistently on affected devices. Start in Settings > Wi-Fi.

If Wi-Fi is on (or you're connected), toggle it off completely. Wait 5 seconds, then toggle it back on.

Scroll to the bottom of the available networks list. Instead of tapping the problematic network, select Other....

Manually enter the exact network name (including spaces and punctuation). Use the precise SSID you're accustomed to joining.

If it's an open network (no password), tap Join in the top-right. For secured networks, select the security type first—WPA2/WPA3 for most modern routers. Check your router's label if unsure, or test options until it connects.
Enter the password and tap Join.

Reconnect successfully? Tap the i info icon next to the network—Forget This Network should now appear. This simple reconnect resets the glitch reliably.
