At Guiding Tech, we've long championed IFTTT for demystifying web automation. Its genius lies in the 'If This Then That' formula: if X happens, do Y. You define the triggers, and IFTTT executes flawlessly.
Now, IFTTT's Do apps put you in the driver's seat, letting you manually initiate actions. Meet Do Note for text, Do Button for one-tap triggers, and Do Camera (free on iOS and Android)—snap a photo and route it to any connected service instantly.
We've explored Do Note and Do Button extensively; today, we dive into Do Camera based on our hands-on testing.
Do Camera shines for rapid photo capture and smart filing—think snapping a receipt and sending it to an Evernote notebook or Dropbox folder for later reference. In my experience, it's invaluable for expense tracking on work trips or documenting furniture shopping for a new home. Emailing photos to yourself works great too.

It's equally powerful for sharing: post to Twitter, a dedicated Facebook album, or platforms like Tumblr and WordPress. Quick capture, collection, and sharing at lightning speed—these are Do Camera's sweet spots. Check our top recipes below to get started.
Like core IFTTT, Do Camera relies on customizable 'recipes.' Connect channels for services like Evernote or Dropbox in the app. Once set up with your preferences, recipes appear ready to use.

The app's design is beautifully minimal: it launches straight to camera view, flashing the active recipe. Swipe left/right to switch between recipes. Add as many as you like, but we recommend 6 max for simplicity. Handy widgets on iOS and Android provide one-tap access too.

Launch the app and tap the Recipe icon (bottom right) to view enabled ones. Hit + to browse, search, or connect channels and add more.

Tap Add on a recipe you like. Edit any via the active list for personalization.

IFTTT pros can craft custom recipes from available channels and actions, but pre-built ones with tweaks suit beginners perfectly.
