As a longtime Opera user, I've found its built-in wallpaper feature to be a standout perk that most browsers lack. Personalize your start page with pre-installed options, your own images, or even animated wallpapers from the extensions store. Here's how to do it effortlessly.
Follow these simple steps to transform your Opera start page.
Click the Easy Setup button in the sidebar (looks like a gear icon), then select Start page.
Browse the available wallpapers. For a custom touch, click Add your wallpaper and select an image from your files.
Need more options? In Easy Setup, click Get more wallpapers. This opens the add-ons page—pick and install your favorite.Wallpapers customize your start page background, while themes alter the browser's overall appearance. Open Easy Setup and switch between Light, Dark, or System (which matches your OS). Custom themes from add-ons aren't supported anymore—sync with your Windows theme instead for the best results.
Both use the Chromium engine for identical page rendering, but in my hands-on tests, Opera edges out in speed and built-in features like this wallpaper tool. Try both to see what fits your workflow.
Beyond defaults, head to addons.opera.com/ for thousands of options, including animated ones.
