Chrome's latest UI refresh simplifies navigation—enable the new theme in settings if needed. Dive into these expert tips to elevate your experience.
Chrome shines with effortless syncing of bookmarks, history, passwords, and more across devices. Tap the menu, go to Settings, and sign in with your Google account to start. Everything syncs by default, but customize via your profile settings by toggling 'Sync everything.'

Signed in? Access tabs from your other devices instantly. Open tabs on desktop Guiding Tech? Pick up right where you left off on iOS. Tap Recent Tabs in the menu to see active devices and favicons—select and go.

The Share Sheet from the URL bar handles everything: email or iMessage links via Mail or Messages, add to Notes, and more. Tap the + icon to add apps.

Recent Tabs covers most needs, but for non-Chrome setups: Enable Handoff in Settings > Privacy on Mac. For Windows, install 'Continue on PC' from the App Store and share via the sheet.

Chrome now offers a dedicated PDF share sheet. On a PDF, tap 'Open In' at the bottom to save to Notes, Adobe Acrobat, iBooks, or Files for cloud storage.

Switch from Google to Yahoo or Bing in Settings > Search Engine. Custom engines like DuckDuckGo aren't supported on iOS.

Need discretion? Tap New Incognito Tab in the menu—or long-press the tab switcher for quicker access. No history saved, though sites may still track you.

Mobile sites too limited? Menu > Request Desktop Site loads the full version. It remembers per tab; use pinch-to-zoom and switch back via Request Mobile Site if needed.

Speak queries via the mic icon in the search bar. On loaded pages, long-press the search icon. Supports questions and multiple languages in Settings > Voice Search.

Built-in scanner: Long-press search icon > Scan QR Code. Links open directly in Chrome.

Chrome detects foreign languages and offers translation. Enable always-on in Settings > Content Settings > Google Translate.

Settings > Privacy > Clear Browsing Data: Wipe history, cookies, cache. Avoid clearing passwords unless necessary.

Tired of distracting articles on new tabs? Settings > Turn off Article Suggestions.

No full data saver, but limit preloading: Settings > Bandwidth > Preload Web Pages > Only over Wi-Fi.

Share Sheet > Add to Reading List. Access via new tab page or menu.

Long-press menu icon, slide to option, release—faster than tapping twice.

Drag app from dock to Chrome for multitasking. Resize with handle; great for drag-and-drop.

Stay secure: Check App Store > Updates monthly for fixes and features.

Implement these tips for a more efficient Chrome on iOS. While some Android-exclusive features exist, these maximize what's available—hoping for more browser freedom ahead.
