If you've used Pushbullet, Join is an outstanding alternative. Like Pushbullet, it lets you share links, notes, and files between devices, including clipboard sync across Android phones and PCs or multiple Androids.
These are just a few highlights of Join's robust features. It's a paid app with ads and premium unlocks, but a one-time $4.99 payment removes ads and enables everything. From experience, it's worth every penny for power users.
Whether you're new or upgrading, these tips—drawn from years of daily use—will help you harness Join like a pro.
Let's dive in.
One of Join's standout features is cross-device notification syncing. While many apps push Android notifications to PC, few handle Android-to-Android sync as seamlessly. Join excels here.
Enable it, and notifications flow across devices. To avoid overload, customize apps and targets.
To set up:
Step 1: Open Join on your Android, tap the hamburger menu (top-left), then Settings.

Step 2: Tap Notifications and toggle Send notifications on if needed.

Step 3: By default, no apps are selected. Tap Notification apps and pick yours.

Step 4: Tap Notification devices and select targets.

This builds on app sync: incoming calls ring all connected devices simultaneously. For example, a call on Phone A alerts Phones B and C, and you can even end it remotely.
To enable:
Step 1: In Settings, go to SMS and phone calls.

Step 2: Toggle SMS and call service on, then tap Advanced.

Step 3: Tap Phone Notifications and choose your preferred action.
Note: Requires general notification sync (Tip 1). If issues persist, enable Phone services or Phone & Call Log under Notification apps.

Remote access notifications from afar. Pull them from another device or push yours.
On Join's main screen, tap the three-dot menu next to a device, then Receive notifications to fetch its alerts. To send, select Send notifications on the target.

Chrome extension users: Silence notifications temporarily (15 mins to 6 hours). Right-click the Join icon and select Mute.

Capture screens on distant devices—Android or PC via extension.
Tap three-dot menu > Get Screenshot. Grant permission on target if prompted; image opens on requester.

Note: If Join reopens during capture, exit with Back button, not Home.
Bonus: Remotely launch apps too—see next.
No full control, but instant app launching: Three-dot menu > Open App > Select.

Sync clipboards manually (via copy bubble) or automatically.
Step 1: Connection Settings > Clipboard.

Step 2: Toggle Monitor clipboard. Enable Clipboard bubbles or Auto-send to devices for seamless sharing.

Lost phone on silent? Ring it remotely. Track location too.
Three-dot menu > Ring or Locate. Ring blares audio; Locate opens Google Maps.

Send text-to-speech: Three-dot menu > Talk > Enter text. Target reads it aloud.

Monitor battery across devices: Low power or full charge alerts.
Connection Settings > Pushes > Advanced > Battery notifications.

Or check directly on main screen.

These tips kickstart your Join journey. With endless capabilities beyond notifications, links, and texts, one payment unlocks it all across devices.
